El el primero día tratamos un bebido local, "cale mocha." ¡Es un combinación de vino rojo y Coca-Cola! Este muy interesante, pero me gusta. Tambien tratamos "sidra" es un alcol de manzanas, no me gusta sidra.

Mi primero experiencia.

Mi primera experiencia de Oviedo fue mi amigo y yo perdiéndome. Andábamos a la casa y buscábamos la calle Gonzales Besada y no podíamos encontrar porque estuvimos allí. Caminamos todo la ciudad antes de encontrar una calle que conocíamos. Después buscamos nuestras casas, y mi madre y yo fuimos al parque con sus perros. En martes, era una fiesta, "Martes de Campo," mi amiga Erica vinó a mi casa y mi madre, Erica, y yo fuimos al Parque de Invierno y caminamos en la ciudad. Mi madre y yo comimos bollos chorizos,la tradición del día. Me gusta un bollo de chorizo y mi madre es muy simpatica. En la segundo noche, mis amigos y yo fuimos al los bares y discotecas de la ciudad. ¡Los Españas están locos! ¡Salen hasta las cuatro o cinco de la mañana! Fuimos a la catedral de Oviedo y es muy bonita. La catedral tiene reliquias de Jesucristo.

Pre-departure post

So I am getting ready to leave for Spain and I'm just a little, ok a LOT nervous. I'm not really sure what I'm most afraid of, I think I'm most afraid of living alone with a family, but I think that will be very exciting. I'm sure since they've had host children before the know what to expect, I just hope I don't disappoint them. I know I'm going to be very shy and have a hard time talking in Spanish with everyone, so I hope everyone on the trip is friendly!

I'm most excited to be taking classes and learning a new language. I think traveling will also be exciting, to see all the historic sites and learn about a new country. I know there will be a big culture shock, and a lot of getting used to, but I hope I don't handle it like a tourist!

From the experience I hope to gain a better understanding of different cultures and a new language, and some new, great friends!
