So I am getting ready to leave for Spain and I'm just a little, ok a LOT nervous. I'm not really sure what I'm most afraid of, I think I'm most afraid of living alone with a family, but I think that will be very exciting. I'm sure since they've had host children before the know what to expect, I just hope I don't disappoint them. I know I'm going to be very shy and have a hard time talking in Spanish with everyone, so I hope everyone on the trip is friendly!
I'm most excited to be taking classes and learning a new language. I think traveling will also be exciting, to see all the historic sites and learn about a new country. I know there will be a big culture shock, and a lot of getting used to, but I hope I don't handle it like a tourist!
From the experience I hope to gain a better understanding of different cultures and a new language, and some new, great friends!

I guess i am a little nervous about the family thing too in a way. My fall back plan is to smile and nod my head. Hopefully that will get me out of any rough situations!
